Susan Taylor Creative Branding Strategist

Meet Susan Taylor

Writer, Producer & Brand Strategist

Susan Taylor Creative consists of me, Susan Taylor – award-winning copywriter, producer, brand strategist and rogue creative director who bailed out of the agency world (and a pretty cool corner office), because I knew I could offer clients more for their hard-won advertising dollars.

I come solo or, if your project calls for additional talent (designers, video producers, website guys, SEO gurus etc.), I know just the right people to call. Together, we operate a lot like a traditional agency but without the confines of agency walls. All the money saved on overhead (swanky offices, superfluous account people, group therapy for creatives, etc.) gets passed on to you. I stay hands on throughout, making sure your project is on-budget and on-time and that you’re an integral part of the process.

The bottom line? You get big-agency talent without the big-agency price. Plus, we make all of our deadlines, floss regularly and are quite a bit of fun.

One word: Brilliant. (Okay, there are more words...) I’ve worked with numerous creative directors and writers in my career. My preference is generally a CD that comes from the writer side of the craft. Susan Taylor is that preference, quadrupled and more. She is that unique and rare find of, direction, wit, emotion and empathetic vision along with an appreciation of and ability for the complementary art and visual aspects of our business. I love working with her, whether on a small project or a complete branding campaign. Nothing shakes her and while she is spot on with agreed strategy, she has NEVER failed to stay fluid and flexible enough to find opportunities within the process or project that makes it even better creatively and more effective for the client.
— Director of Business Development at a Dallas-based marketing company
Susan and I started working together back in 1985 when we were both at Keller Crescent Advertising. We initially worked on one account - ShowBiz Pizza/Chuck E. Cheese’s - but as she and I both grew in our roles at KC we eventually worked together on every account in the agency. In each case Susan proved herself to be a highly talented writer and creative director who truly believed in the power of the strategy and the (well written) creative brief. We often spent as much time discussing the business problem as we did the creative solution. Some seven years after we both left KC we reunited when we founded TaylorLaw Advertising, which eventually merged with two other shops to become Numantra. We worked on B2B technology, mall-based retail, health care and everything in between and Susan always delivered strategically sound, compelling advertising on behalf of our clients. Susan was a great business partner and remains one of my very best friends.
